Lucca - the lesser known jewel of Tuscany - a unique get away with flair and style, saturated with culture and 'la dolce vita'

The historical centre is entirely surrounded by its medieval walls, which serve as Lucca's green belt, play ground, joggers, cyclers, walks and even horses. If you have not been to Lucca before please google it and get a feel for its uniqueness.

Summer in Lucca is bursting with cultural events.

One of them is the Lucca Summer festival in July, hosting big international artists like Stevie Wonder (last year), Elton John, Robbie Willliams, Mark Knopfler, Lenny Kravitz and more (this year) ....

We have our own flat in the historical centre, minutes walk from all the great piazzas, restaurants and sights.

1 bedroom, (used to be 2 bedroom, so there is space for up to 2 extra people sleeping in the open plan living room), on 2nd floor, right next to Lucca's Botanical Gardens and the famous medieval walls.

Piazza Napoleone which in summer is transformed to a stage for world class musicians for the Lucca Summer Festival. Stevie Wonder was there this summer.	on the walls	Botanical Gardens and il Fosso from the other side. The flat is to the left. This is how close you are to some nice green spaces, and at the same time you are inside the walls, in the historical centre.

	fresh springwater Lucca's tapwater doesn't taste nice but there are several fountains dotted around town where locals fill up their supllies of fresh springwater.
