At Teatro del Giglio this morning, an interesting conversation with Willem Dafoe. "I have done many films in Italy. I like shooting in Italy. Some of the departments here are the best in the world. Maybe they have it in their genes. ... I have an Italian passport, you know .. I may never be Italian because I'm not born it but I have the intention ... " Acting is "floating with the poetry of cinema .." .. " disappearing into something else - making yourself available without knowing what the use of it is ... It's very close to living .." Tomorrow he will be introducing his new film "Padre" with Giada Colagrande, made in Italy, at Cinema Astra Lucca at 5pm.
At 9pm he will receive his Live Achievement Award and present the film Antichrist by Lars Von Trier (2009), in which he plays the lead role.
